Samsung has just demonstrated another great use for OLEDs (Organic light emitting diodes)…the E-Passport. OLEDs require no back light so they are paper thin, however you still have to power the OLED screen which usually takes up space…however…this is where Samsung really outdid themselves. The new OLED e-passport uses short-range RF wireless power to activate the screen. BRILLIANT! Check out the video below, just one more example of how OLED’s will change our world:
